Brand History

Nomination was founded in Florence, Italy, more than 40 years ago in the 1980s by Paolo Gensini. The jewellery brand’s designs are greatly inspired by the Italian countryside and Italian culture. At a time when stainless steel was disregarded by the jewellery industry, Paolo Gensini saw potential where others didn’t. The brand’s founder wanted to create jewellery that would be affordable yet still high- quality and elegant. Tapping into his experience, as a goldsmith and metalworker, Paolo Gensini created the prototype of the modular Nomination bracelet which ended up taking Italy, and the world, by storm.

To this day Nomination jewellery is dedicated to creating pieces that are fairly priced and use only the highest quality materials. The Nominations’ Composable line began as a collection of modular charms with gold-plated letters and has since grown and expanded to include symbols, gemstones, crystals and even hanging charms.
